This is a pre-order. Fulfillment estimate: late June or July 2026.
Get access to most CAN busses on some newer Hyundai and Kia vehicles. This kit installs near your existing OBD port and adds a second, unsecured OBD port for car-hacking, and comes with a WiCAN original for logging and injecting CAN messages. No trim removal required! This kit is sold with no guarantee of specific firmware functionality or long-term updates, and limited technical support. WiCANs will ship flashed with beta-version preconditioning logic. If in doubt about whether you need a WiCAN, we highly recommend buying one. Most OBD devices do not support raw CAN reading and writing. You will know if yours does.
Kit includes:
- Custom wiring harness
- (If selected) WiCAN-OBD-C3 (retails for $42 USD +shipping)
- Sticky pads and zip ties for secure, non-destructive attachment
We guarantee compatibility with:
- 2021-2024 Ioniq 5 and EV6 [B, P, C, M, G, I, E busses selectable; P, C, G and E are CAN-FD and not readable by CAN 2.0 transcievers like the WiCAN]
We cannot guarantee other vehicles. The Ioniq 6 and GV60 use a different connector. Please contact us at requests@electroniqbuttons.com if you would like to order the harness for a different vehicle. We are in the process of designing an equivalent harness for later models/generations of E-GMP cars.
Note that CAN bus reverse engineering is challenging and this is a DIY product. If any of the words above give you pause, take a minute to learn before buying. We'd love to help with that!
The harness is not one you can easily build from AliExpress parts. It is possible, but after having spent far too long shaving plastic off of almost-right connectors, we highly recommend buying this kit instead to make your life easier. If you want a more DIY approach, bring your own OBD and buy the harness only.
Warning: there is risk of damage associated with installation of almost anything in a car. We have done our best to document proper installation and test the kit, but we are not responsible for damage to your car. We highly recommend removal of all aftermarket devices and accessories when taking a car in for warranty service for best diagnosis, especially if the aftermarket device is visible to dealership technicians during the course of service. We recommend de-installation of this kit before taking your car in for any service that could involve fuses or 12V issues. It is designed to be easily disconnectable to make it easier to hide without full de- installation.
Second warning: the ICU-H connector is responsible for termination for almost all CAN busses in the car, including safety-critical busses. Do not mess with it unnecessarily. If any connection seems insecure, remove it before driving. If in doubt in any way, remove it before driving. On the other hand, avoid many plug-unplug cycles as the OEM connector could be damaged or worn if cycled too many times and become a hazard. If the wiring harness in this kit or the OEM connector was ripped out while driving, it is possible that that could produce an accident. Please don't let that happen to you. In testing, we tried removing the OEM ICU-H connector while the car was on. Fans immediately started blasting. Don't let this happen while driving.
Wiring harness temperature specification: -40°C to +125°C
